An Eastern Chipmunk and the Leaf | Oct. 3, 2010 |
|
Over the years I've put online photographic sequences of a cottontail, a groundhog, and a white-tailed deer with each one disappearing a leaf (links at bottom). I suppose it's fitting that I now have a little chipmunk and a large leaf.
Of course, with the chipmunk, the leaf is for bedding (or room division), not food.

This is the third leaf that the chipmunk has taken. Seems like a challenge to get it all in.

But nothing can stop a determined chipmunk.

Ah, found just the right method of folding.
| ||
| ||
And there it goes until . . .
| ||
| ||
. . . all gone!

Yes, another successful chipmunk mission, which took all of about 3 seconds to accomplish.
Photography note: The photos were taken with a Pentax K20D and the SMC-DA 55-300mm lens on 2 Oct. 2010.
