Black-and-White Warbler
Mniotilta varia
Sept. 9, 2012

Over my eight years of living in State College, Pennsylvania, I've had fleeting views (and more fleeting photographs) of the black-and-white warbler (Mniotilta varia).

Today, a black-and-white warbler lingered a little longer than usual. So although I can't say much for the two photos, they definitely show a little warbler who is black and white.

I suppose the black-and-white warbler's sense of humor meant to stare a little toward me, as if wondering if he gave enough of a tease.

On the brighter side, by putting up these photos, I feel assured that it won't be long before I have a clearer photo op with the little bird.

Photo note: I used a Pentax K20D, with the Sigma 150-500mm lens, on September 12, 2012, for these photos.
