Green-Winged Teal
Anas crecca
May 4, 2011

The green-winged teal (Anas crecca) is a small-size duck and a spring migrant passing through State College.

This was the first time I managed to photography any green-winged teals, and only one of the photos came out particularly clearly. But it does include two females and one male (bottom right).

Unfortunately, they only stayed by the pond a single day. Well, there's always next year.

Photo note: I used a Pentax K20D, with the Sigma 150-500mm lens, during late March 2011 for this photo.
