Despite the world situation, every so often I have a good day, particularly with photography and, in this instance, with the migration of ruby-throated hummingbirds.
Following are 17 hummingbird photos all taken on September 3, 2024, making it a remarkable day for me.
On this particular day, all the photos include female or immature ruby-throated hummingbirds (and so none has a ruby throat) feeding from Rose of Sharon blossoms. On other days, hummingbirds concentrated on either hummingbird mint or butterfly bush blossoms.
