Dreamy Roses of Sharon | August 17, 2008 |
Of all the possible subjects to photograph with a soft focus lens, I particularly enjoy the Rose of Sharon. I could be biased - I planted it as a small shrub, and it has become many times its original size.
The flowers come out in great number. |
The softness of the Pentax lens is impressive, inasmuch as it allows some detail while casting its blur.
Having impressive flowers helps too. |
I find with the soft focus lens that it helps photographing a group of roses of Sharon, instead of concentrating on one.
Photo note: I used a Pentax *ist D, with the SMC 85mm soft focus lens for these photos. |
