Maintaining our hibiscus bush is a hassle. When the outside temperature is less than 40 degrees Fahrenheit (or 5 degrees Celsius), we have to bring the hibiscus indoors, and it takes up way too much space. Nor is there quite enough sunlight for it indoors. It becomes a race against time with the question being, Will the hibiscus survive the winter inside?
For the past six years or so, the answer has been yes. Our hibiscus is forever ragged, but its blooms are beautiful.
Here are three views of one of its lovely flowers, beginning with a front view.
